Barbara Bellows studied art at the Lyme Art Academy in Old Lyme, CT, Plymouth State College in Plymouth, NH and AVA Gallery and Lebanon College in Lebanon, NH and at artists’ workshops. She has exhibited her work in galleries and numerous solo shows since 1983. Her paintings can be found in collections in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Central America.
Barbara taught art at Lebanon College in Lebanon, NH from 1996 to 2011. She was the head of the Arts Department for several years, but stepped down to allow for more time for painting.
She recently moved with her husband from Orford, NH, USA to Norris Point, Newfoundland, Canada in the heart of beautiful Gros Morne National Park. Currently, she gives lessons to children and adults in her studio located in the Julia Ann Walsh Centre (Old Hospital), Norris Point, NL.
She has two married grown daughters, one of whom is an artist. She teaches piano and yoga as well as art. She and her husband have been innkeepers, have renovated 9 houses, and lived and traveled aboard a 40-foot sailboat for 15 months.
She is a member of the following organizations:

- Pastel Society of New Hampshire
